visit from our sweet folks!

kathy and paul came to visit us for memorial day! naturally, it was the best visit ever! i had to work memorial day weekend and day, so i know rich especially was sooooo happy to have them here. rachael will be disappointed in the documentation of this trip, but we were having too much fun to take pics! :) on memorial day rich took them to a white sox game and grilled out for dinner.  they saved of their food for me, and it was delicious! on tuesday, we went to the zoo.  i was exhausted that day--but we did get to see the giraffes, mongolian camels, monkeys and lions, so hopefully i didn't slow everyone down too much.  i am growing a little monkey in my belly, so no one submitted any complaints. thanks parents! :) hopefully i didn't seem crabby either because i had a fabulous time--especially seeing the baby gorilla! the next day we got to show them around the four lakes area--pools, boats, biking/running trails, etc and had shish kabobs for dinner--thanks to rich and paul's delicious grilling. on friday, we were supposed to go on the divvy bikes and bike around downtown chicago, but of course it was absolutely frigid. kathy and i forgot coats/sweaters, soooo that never happened, but we did stop at a diner and have some great pancakes. :) we even had time to go to buffalo wild wings and see the movie, million dollar arm. it was a great time and we were sad to have them leave.  every time i spend time with these two, i am amazed by everything they do. i am blessed to have them as in-laws. love them LOTS.

paul and rich went on like a 25 mile bike ride! CRAZY dudes! kathy is a crazy dudette too, but she hung with the preggy girl and we went to naperville's riverwalk and got gelato. yum!
